An Inexpensive Car For Some

Cheap Cars Video

Automobiles are status symbols.  Everyone has heard of the celebrities with massive collections of expensive cars, or custom built garages to accommodate their cars in the heart of an expensive city like New York.  But for some people an inexpensive car is the way to go.  Cheap in price doesn’t have to mean cheap in quality.  Less expensive can still be functional, and even fun.

Buy a discounted used car if you want to save some cash.  Even luxury models are much less expensive when purchased second hand.  High quality used cars have come to be called pre-owned.  Pre-owned cars have pulled some new car lovers into the used car world.  Think about luxury vehicles.  A Mercedes or Lexus is so well built that even 10 year old cars can still be in excellent condition.  Many people always buy late model used cars instead of new ones.Remember the chauffeur in “Driving Miss Daisy”?  He always bought Miss Daisy’s second hand, luxury cars.

Some cheap new cars are quite nice, too.  Companies like Hyundai make excellent cars that can be purchased new for under $12,000.  Then there’s the Civic, from Honda, weighing in at about $15,000.  They get great mileage, last a long time, and retain original value very well.  Cheaper cars are also generally less costly to maintain, and they don’t require premium gasoline.

Try the cheaper, not really cheap, luxury cars.  Audi has some luxury models that generally sit at the bottom price in their class.  Audi boasts the top engineered cars in the world, bar none.  This includes the Audi TT which, while not exactly cheap, is a very nice sports car with a lot of power and speed.

Some people mean really cheap when they say cheap.  They turn to the clunker, the hooptie, the ancient model car that was probably old when their parents first bought a car.  Teens often buy this style of car.  This type of car is good practice for a life of car care, and it gets the job done.  What you see is what you get, even with cheap cars.  A car that constantly breaks down is no bargain at any price.
